Now that you have chosen where you want to help, what do you need to do next?
1. Contact our Regional CVPA (Child & Volunteer Protection Advocate)
2. Pass a screening, including a background check (every volunteer has to do this step)
3. Check your email for a link from Sterling Volunteers saying you passed your background check
4. Complete Finger Printing (Live Scan - Contact CVPA)
5. Complete your mandatory AYSOU training on Sports Connect for coaching, assistant coaching, referring, team parent and board member positions.
BOARD MEMBER: Safe haven, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, CDC Heads up concussion and Safe sport (safesporttrained.org).
COACHES: Safe haven, Safe sport, sudden Cardiac Arrest, CDC heads up concussion, Stewards of the Game, Safe sport (safesporttrained.org), and coach training for any division you are participating. Official AYSO coach manuals designed for coaches who have attended the age appropriate AYSO coach certification curriculum.
REFEREES: AYSO referee certification, Safe Haven Referee certification.
